Confessions of An Average Worship Leader.
I was complaining to God the other day (Don't judge me- you do it too ) about how average I was and that i can not actually play bar chords like the other guitarists (Thank God for Capos) and he spoke to me in a way that was hard to miss. "I don't want you for your skill." The Holy hush filled my mind and I remembered the fact that He is constantly surrounded by throngs of angels crying 'Holy, Holy, Holy" and me with my three chord dities, I think I can impress him.

Wow... This is soo what I needed to hear! I could not live with out my capo! I am constatnly down on myself because, I am not this or that like other cooler worship leaders. His gentle voice whispers to my heart all the time I made you too. Just as I made them.

Brother David - how true it is!! Just think of all the incredible worship songs that are just 3-4 maj chords!! The list is incredible! It's all about having the "fingerprints of God" on our lives and thus our music. Allowing ourselves to be embraced by Him = spending alone time = we come away with the "aroma" of life in Jesus. Our songs will exude His Life! Not to mention, suffering, intercession, etc..
