Bryan Vanderhill is a worship leader and songwriter from Charlotte, NC. He is the lead singer and acoustic guitarist for his praise team at Messiah Lutheran Church. The group, called Promise, has been leading a contemporary worship service since the summer of 1998.

In 1999 Bryan began writing his own songs, many of which are now used on a regular rotation at his church. In 2001 Promise released its first CD of all original music entitled "This is Heaven." This was followed in 2003 by a second CD, "Truth Has a Name." A third CD, "No Greater Cause", is in the works.

Some of Bryan's songs have been recorded and/or performed by other independent artists, and several have been used in other churches as part of their worship services.

Bryan is a 6th grade math teacher at a local middle school where life is never dull! He is married with two teenage daughters (also not dull). He takes one day at a time, striving to be a little more Christ-like each day, yet resting in God's incredible saving grace.
