Howard has been writing songs for church use as the Creative Arts Pastor at New Hope Church in Pearland, Texas. Because New Hope's focus is "outreach oriented" his songs have been written in style and content to be accessible to all. Trying to reach people where they are, the lyrics are not full of "church speak" and the style is easy to follow. Howard has been married 19 years and has three sons.
